Just a little confusing here . . . . . Why use a floatplane if you can walk to the lake? Plenty of good lakes in that area, but if you fly out, aren't you planning on flying back?

See if I have this straight.

    1. You want to visit the town Talkeetna with your floatplane?
    2. You would like to be able to camp near you plane while doing so,,,,,, during the height of weirdo & tourist season?

Call Don at 907-733-4500 Tell him Alex said to call.

You may have to settle for visiting Talkeetna, then walk to to your plane and fly off into the boonies to find a peaceful camping spot.

Thanks Float Pilot, will do. We are going to fly from soldotna to talkeetna and wasnt familiar with any lakes to land on close to the town. We want to go to the brewery there so within a couple miles walking distance would be preferred. As for camping, just a place to be somewhat close to the plane to keep an eye on it. Thanks again for the contact info

So what is wrong with the Homer brewery?
BTW down here in Homer I have a guest cabin for pilots only... $85 a night summer rates plus tax.
