Default You may also want this best Rifle Scope for me

I finally received my first brand-new order-from-the-store deer rifle in 30 years.

If you follow my stuff at all, you know a big part of my hobby has been finding rescues and turning them back into deer rifles. This one, however, was a Ruger Hawkeye in 30-06. I wanted stainless, but I did not want a tupperware stock, so I found a factory wood stock. I topped it with a 3-9X40.

This is probably going to be my last 30-06. I've got a bunch of them already, and after this I think I will explore other chamberings.

I confess to having an irrational attraction to the walnut stock.

I have seen a few other people do the same thing. The wood and stainless is a great combo. Ruger should offer this an a option. Sweet rifle. I own a number of Ruger rifles.

Remington makes a wood/stainless in the CDL. Of course, not a Winchester, but really good looking guns.
