    Default first spuds...

Gingerly felt around one of the potato plants yesterday... this was just some of the potatoes I took from it..

Hope the rest of the plants do so well!

But what I am really looking forward to is the sweet pumpkins which are now about 2" in diameter...grow pumpkins grow !

    Oh Man, those look good.
Outside layer of the peeling wipe off with your hand .

We love fresh potatoes this time of the year, nice & juicy & taste great.

We use reds for stews, soups & chowder. They hold together well when cooked.

    I hear ya mudbuddy...

The plants started yellowing about a week ago...so I decided to pull 7 or 8 plants...
It was like an archaeological potato dig and netted 43 lb of red potatoes.
