don't have an owners manual to my 2000 TLRY yamaha 2-stroke but it might be quicker finding the answer here if someone knows. im going to put a new prop on. Well i had it on earlier in town but forgot to bring my grease gun and was going to fish the river but changed my mind on going.

when sliding the thrust washer down onto the spindle you can see the clean grease build up at the bottom and there is a rubber seal of some sorts there.

Is it not good to get grease down in there or should i clean it all off and just grease the inside threads of the washer and slide it on down a clean spindle. then grease it and slide the prop on and the other parts? thanks
