    Default G'Day from Australia

    G'Day to you all,

This is my first post and thought it might be polite to introduce myself.

Been huntin, shootin and fishin (fresh and salt) most of my life around my neck of the woods, and around the South Pacific.
Hoping that if things work out, that I would like to hunt the Northern Pacific, some time in the next few years?

Looking forward to reading and if I can be of any assistance, contributing to some of the posts/threads on this forum.

    Best regards
    &
    D'oh!

Any free range stag hunting down that way? I don't like the idea to have to pay for a certain size animal. I want to pay x amount of dollars and hunt em up. What you find, big or small is what you get.

    G'Day all,

    AGL4now, Thank You!

0321Tony, Yes there is no shortage of free range Red Stag hunting in Oz but even more opportunity in New Zealand!
My best advice, would be to Google up some NZ hunting forums, and have a read.

    Hope that helps

    G'Day Fella's,

    Thank You Earl and 4merguide!

Pleased to hear you enjoyed yourself when you were here Earl! You probably need a revisit but I have to warn you, it isn't as good as it used to be!

4emrguide, there is no shortage of good Striped (in particular but Blacks etc) Marlin fishing as well as Tuna and the other pelagic's, three hours drive from where I live, at a place made famous by Zane Grey called Bermagui! It is still a great location (in general and for game fishin), thats located off the beaten track, so it can be a bit quite at times, which is fine by me!!!
FYI, I caught a 100Kg/220pound (approx - Tagged & Released) Striped Marlin off their a few years ago. We caught a total of 4 Striped Marlin that same day, and seen several others being caught that same Easter weekend!

    Regards
    Homer

How hard is it to get license and tags to hunt down your way? I got a quote for a week long hunt for red stag air fair included for 5k. Told be it was all the wild goats I could shoot and all the food I could eat.

    G'Day Fella's,

Dog Buster, depending where you hunt in Australia, depends on the restrictions!
Some states you will require a license to hunt but there may be no limit on how many Deer you shoot on Wild and Free self guided hunts.
Most of the biggest Red Deer heads come off "Game Parks" or Dude Ranches.
A New Zealand hunting guide I have hunted with for Alpine Game (Chamois & Thar) on multiple occasions, Peter Chamberlain of Kiwi Wilderness Safari's or www.nzwildhunt.com can cater to whatever type of hunting experience you want or you can afford! Peter is an extremely nice bloke, exceedingly knowledgeable and experienced hunter himself and will work hard for your success!

I hope that helps but let me know if you require any additional information or details!

    Regards
    D'oh!
