Default Perfect Handle Length for the Boat Dipnet???

I am building a new handle as I hate mine from PVC....it sucks....

What is the perfect handle length for the Kenai???

Do I use schedule 40??? or 80??? Any other ideas or thoughts?

I am not worried about welding aluminum as I do it all the time.

I use a 52" hoop with a handle that is about 5' long. Works really well on the Kenai. Not sure on 40 or 80.

I made mine from 10' sticks of antenna steel. Works great for boat dipnetting Kenai and Copper, and eddy fishing the Copper. I would NOT use them for gravel bar sweeping or the Kenai Shuffle.

Can handle all the torque you throw at 'em. Many seasons, many fish. Only the "D" handles are showing the stress.

I use a SuperStrut connector to bolt the hoop on.

Downside is they are heavier than most people are used to.
