    Default Latest wanders and travels....

Starting to get really busy both at work and in my travels after work and on the weekends. I love this place!!!

Top 2 images taken with the 1DMkII and 500mmIS, Owl image taken with the 500mm and 2x and 1.4x Teleconvertors stacked and the bottom image is another 4 shot stitch done with the 5D, 80-200mmIS at 80mm's and put together in photoshop. Shrinking that one down doesnt do it justice at all. It looks incredible at full resolution, but its a 264MB file!!!

    Hey,
why do those photos look so familiar? HA!

Great shootin'! I have an image of the same Widgeon ...I think. Near the owls I presume. I will post them this weekend. I am pretty pleased with my widgeon shots. The pair were vary photo friendly.

Again, amazing photos! Thanks for sharing.

Could be the same guy. I photographed him further down the road about a week ago in that small ditch pond. There were a pair and I dont think I have had any more cooperative ducks so far in Alaska. They didnt care how close I got, it was pretty cool.

That is where I shot them and about the same time. When I first noticed them and got out of the truck they swam right up to me. Couldn't believe it. I ended up laying on the ground and shooting from my elbow and they would come even closer. That was a lot of fun. I will post them tonight ...I hope. My dad is visiting for 10-days so, hopefully I will have time to post them.

Great shot. Love that reflection. The water was just a tad bit too choppy while I was there to get a good reflection.
