Great guides! Who do you recommend for the following:

4 of us will be on Kenai Peninsula from August 17-28 and would like to schedule:
--a halibut trip 1/2 or full day
--a day on a boat fishing for big Rainbows on the Kenai.
    --a day on a six-pack for silvers
--information on fishing for silvers on the rivers between Soldotna and Homer. (which rivers, time of day, eggs or hardware, etc.)

Not asking too much, just want it all...lol.

    Thanks for your help.

    For this year?
Might have trouble finding a decent guide for this year. The good ones fill up months in advance.

Thanks for the response. I have been coming up every year since 2004 for 3-4 weeks and usually, if we come in mid-August, it seems the fishing pressure isn't nearly as strong as in June and July so I guess I was thinking finding good guides wouldn't be that much of an issue. Certainly I could be wrong. It wouldn't be the first time.

For the Kenai River I suggest Dan Hardy if you can get him. Full Day Halibut
out of Homer Daniels Personalized Guide Service.
Rivers south of Soldotna for Silvers, Nanilchik, Deep Creek and Anchor. Daybreak and late evening.
do your homework. Be able to tell the difference between a Steelhead and a Silver. Good luck and have a great time.

Thanks much MTguy. Have been fortunate enough to catch some of the steelhead on the Anchor before so I'll take a close look at anything I hook up with. Appreciate the recommendations.
