    Default Valdez Pinks

Anyone hearing anything about pinks hitting Valdez yet? I'm sure they are out in the sound but haven't heard anything yet. Headed down for the next 10 days and I would like to get my 9 year old on some salmon.

Saw someone at the fish cleaning tables the other day with a bunch. A few, once in a while are jumping off of Allison Pt. "only a few". Will be out tomorrow halibut fishing so will watch for jumpers.

Check the comm fish announcements. Last one I saw, VFDA caught over 26,000 pinks for cost recovery at over 2.7 lbs per fish average

Thanks for the update and the link. I know its on the early side but it should be decent fishing for the little one.

I was out in Jack Bay today. I saw pinks jumping from Anderson Bay all the way out. Seiners are doing the recovery catch for the fish hatchery. But I think The entrance to the Narrows is the cutoff for the operation.

The hatchery just posted that pinks are starting to show up over there too. So Pinks "are in. Will be interesting to see how many this year. The one year we had nearly 12 million show up. They spawned in ditches. Got a little stinky.

Hey Dave, any update as to how the pink run is building? I remember a few years ago I brought my kids down and you couldn't keep the pinks off the line from Allison Point. Would love to do that again.

Someone posted a pic of his fishing at Allison Point. So people are over there. I saw pinks jumping from the port to Jack Bay tonight. Seiners are lining up for an opener though. BEWARE: Our resident brown bear with four cubs has divided up. One of the 2-year olds is now over at Allison stealing fish from fishermen. He does not have the same manners as momma.
