Default Any options to start Merc. Sportjet without a battery?

    Hi -

I checked this forum but could not find my answer.

If your cranking battery goes kaput is there an alternate way to start a sport jet? I had this happen luckily in the the driveway...

    Thanks,

    Mike

Negative on that. All the DI 2 stokes require stable voltage to start.
i forget whether it was the Optimax or ETEC that was more forgiving of a low battery. I used to bring a spare battery when I was running an Optimax.
