    Default Alaskan Bush People

Okay really? Someone started about the new "Kodiak"but no one had brought up ABP? This show cracks me up! Just another way to exploit Alaskans for our true nature! Lol anybody want to weigh in?

Probably the worst representation of Alaskans that I've seen. Supposedly their home got burned down by fish and game or wildlife troopers or something... seems like they were squatting then, right?

Apparently if you cast a wide enough net with a casting call, you'll find someone to sell themselves out and volunteer to be made a fool of for a few bucks. Their real families must be so proud!

Chip chip cheerio mates, nothing to see here. Just a few blokes enjoying a spot of tea in the Alaskan wilderness whilst climbing every tree in the forest...

I love how the boys all have their freshly shaven redneck sideburns...or are they so backwoods, it just grows that way naturally?

Alaska reality tv can't get much worse than it is today. Wasn't overly impressed with the only episode I saw.

The show is harmless. Who cares if it is quirky with weirdos? It's entertainment.

Explain Harmless, If you were living in the lower 48 and you have kids say 3-4 years old and they are watching this sh-t, who is going to explain the real facts to them? Hell we might as well move back into Igloo's.

What I find interesting is that all the folks that claim to dislike all the Alaska "reality" shows sure know a lot about them...just sayin'...

Remember there is this thing called a remote, (off button for those of us with older TVs).

I hear ya, I had to laugh though, about me. The main and almost only way I hear of each of the myriad of reality shows is this forum. Don't want/have cable nor broadcast tv here for quite a long time now.

A few times I tried (via Internet) to watch Chip and sometimes it works; that one's not so bad.

I think maybe they're like a train wreck, you want to look away but just can't. That and I was really drunk at the time.

Gotta say it's a little sad what entertains people now a days, every one of these kind of shows that I've watched is so off target of what "reality" is I'm left wondering if anyone can be duped to believe there's any truth to them. Ice Road Truckers? I travel across the ice every winter with over 13,000 gallons of fluid at times with a loaded vac truck...can you guess how much research and prep goes into the safety of that same ice? Sheesh.
If you want to see interesting informative Alaskan beauty on the tube catch one of the Dick Proenekke episodes, I could watch those over a and over...

This type of thing sells big in the lower 48. Show them crapping in a Honey Bucket at -40 and it will loose its appeal!

These guys built an encroachment cabin in SE and now we get them in the CR Valley! Thank you! Some how folks think you can hunt and garden all that you need up here when the reality is a bit different especially when your feeding 9 mouths?

    Good Luck Chuck!
