Default Wasilla lakes trolling for rainbows

Here's some success we had trolling on a lake. Some of the trout are in spawning colors.

    What were you trolling? Downriggers?

We spent 4 1/2 hours trolling all manners of spoons and spinners last Sunday in what looks like the same lake and had zero hookups.

That's the nature of that lake. Either I catch monster bows there or nothing at all. It's either all or nothing.

Location is in wasilla. Trolling with leech patterns. And using cow bells. With shrimp and a leech pattern combo. No down riggers needed. We were fishing in about 3-5 feet of water. Not hard to figure. If ur using down riggers. I don't know what ur thinking rainbows aren't not deep water fish unless it's 90 degrees outside.

Finger Lake has got to be the lake, right?
The secret to fishing is: Fish where the fish are.
