Default Looking for Char while float hunting.

Looking for some tips to find large char while hunting on the Sag, Ivashak. Locations or what type of water to look for tx for any advice.

If the water is clear in the Ivishak, you'll see them. If you time it right, you'll see lots of 'em. I found char in any of the deeper water / pool areas but the most active fish to catch were at the tail end of the pools. If you're fishing in late summer before they're spawning they'll be quite aggressive so lure selection isn't terribly critical. I caught them on anything that flashed in front of them.

Deep holes that are adjacent to rock walls. And any intersecting tributary that is big enough to be named on your topo map. Fish ON the bottom for bigger fish.

The two loudest sounds known to man: a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.
