    Default Aluminum Diamond plate

I need a 5x5 piece of 1/8" alum diamond plate. Suggestions on where to purchase and how much that might cost? I've heard people pick up good pieces from the scrap yard in anchorage but I'm not sure where they are going.

You can try Alaska Steel but 5'x5' is a pretty big piece to find whole on the scrap pile. Other than that you can try any sheetmetal shop such as Alaska Sheetmetal, General Mechanical or H&K Sheetmetal.

You won't find a sheet that large in a scrap yard, it's valuable stuff. A 5x5 sheet is going to cost you at least a couple hundred bucks, probably more.

Check with Greatland Welding, they do a lot of boat work and go through a lot of aluminum. 745-2383 (M-F)
