    What's everyone on the river using now CB or VHF ?

    we will run the VHF on the river at 1 watt if we are running in tandom 25 watt very rarely. Or we will use hand held communicators coming into camp.

    I'm using VHF. When I bought the boat it had a CB also but the antenna got broken and since I didn't really use it anyway, I just pulled it out.

    Another VHF guy here, but a lot of the people with cabins around here talk over CB's when @ the cabin.

    VHF hands down. All the boats down here use VHF. Hardly anyone here uses CB, some trollers have them on their boats but VHF is always primarily used.
