I have only seen one up above the duck flats and that is it. No hits out at the stands yet at all. Heard of a couple of others in different areas but still a lot of snow around.

Thanks Dave. How's the snow down near the shoreline?

Not bad along the shore line depending on the compass direction. Haven't seen any tracks crossing the road out to my place yet either. I am setting up a stand on Wed. so might be able to tell you more then.

Just like driving to work with your rifle during moose season, having a bear gun along for a long trip this time of year is a must......imo.

Was just out baiting 2 stands with a friend. He had no hits at either stand. And those stands have no snow around them at all.

We've been doing a lot of glassing over lots of country and have only found one bear but have watched him for the past 3 days. Made a stalk last night on him in waist deep snow and got to 350 yards. the brush he was in was so thick we couldn't take the shot. Hopefully we'll gettem on the ground before the weekend.
