    Default Novice fishermen

Hi all! I'm new to the forum and signed up to prepare for my family's upcoming trip to Anchorage this June. I haven' been fishing long, but enjoy doing it. We're staying in Anchorage and have a halibut charter scheduled in Homer, but salmon is my passion! So my questions are:

    1. Any recommendations on salmon fishing locations in Anchorage.
    2. Any recommendations on places that will clean, seal, freeze, and ship what we catch in Anchorage?
    3. Anything else I need to know??

    Thanks a lot!!

Here's a good forum that deals mostly with fishing. http://alaskaoutdoorjournal.com/

You should be able to find what you need.

    1. IN Anchorage? Ship Creek runs right next to downtown. 4-5,000 fish run, limit 1 per day. Watch the mud.
    2. There are a few fish shipping outfits around. Bring money. Cheaper to fly it home with you.
    3. Post your questions over in the Saltwater fishing forum. Or the Freshwater one. Both full of good guys.

Have a good time and let us know how you do. }:>
