    Default Clams in Anchorage?

Hey! Anyone know if there are any clams around the beaches in Anchorage? My one son found one today while walking the beach at point Woronzof at the airport. It was alive but quite small. Perhaps the tide washed it up? Its not all mud there but sand too so thought I would check it out on low tide for dimples!

Is it legally open for clamming?
I believe the way the regs read is clamming is open from the Kenai river to the tip of the Homer spit for razors.
You might call fish and game first. Hate to see you get a ticket for a couple of clams.

There are tiny thumbnail sized clams in the mud in upper cook inlet. A prime source of food for shorebirds. They don't get bigger than that though. How small is small?

Woronzof is the wastewater treatment outfall for the Muni. I'm sure there are a few spots around it that have larger shellfish enjoying the easy meal.

Kardinal- Yes that's it! Small and pink like my thumbnail. Interesting article about the birds living off them. Never knew. Seen other dimples in the sand or mud so that's the answer. How far north in the inlet can you find razor clams? Thanks everyone!
