Default Dip netting on the Yukon River

Here is a video of us commercial fishing with dip nets on the Yukon as a way of conserving King stocks while allowing commercial fishing

some guys did pretty good and made some money it was our first year I hope to do better this year but sure is more work than fishing with a gillnet.

This might be the commercial fishery of the future with all the low King runs around the state.

    enjoy.

I can not see the video or picture that you attached. I was asking about dip netting on the Yukon today with one of the elders and was told that no one dip nets here. I just got a canoe and am not quite comfortable yet using my set net with the canoe. I thought dip netting might be worth it.

Use a 4 foot hoop max or it'll be too big to manage.
