Default AVGAS on the Alaska Peninsula?

Hey Guys, is there any where to buy avgas between King Salmon and Cold Bay? Port Heiden or Port Moller?

    Thanks,

    Dave

Try calling one of the contact numbers for Port Heiden.

The old Port Moller Air Force Radar station runway now belongs to BLM or some such entity.

Thanks FP, I called them, no fuel at Port Heiden!...sounded like maybe fuel at Nelsen Lagoon. The guy said it was slim pickings for fuel between Cold Bay and King Salmon!

Did not know you could get fuel at Pilot Point. Good to know.

Hey, it may be seasonal too. Maybe not there anymore. I'd call around before I counted on it.

But if you find out its actually there still, post back here please.

There is no fuel at Pilot Point. Nelson Lagoon does have fuel as of right now, plenty he says. The contact in Nelson Lagoon is 907-989-4001

Man I have not thought about Nelson Lagoon in years. I wonder if the Tides-Inn cafe is still there ?

How about Sand Point or Egigik ???

They may have some extra fuel. They plan on having more on hand next year. Call ahead they fish during the day but in after 1700. We had 11 planes there few weeks ago and they had extra fuel to let us play for another day.
