Probably was Federal and they have produced and released a fair amount.....................just not up here. Plenty of Fed brass around if you know where to look. Cost ya about 50 cents a case tho.

It is Federal. They won an overseas contract for 100 million rounds. Once they fill it there will be extra capacity. Their new 90 gr8 Gold Dot load is awesome. LWRCI has brass for $280 per 1000.

A fine distinction but the actual unit is the Royal Guard. A force of 40,000+ whose responsibility is guarding the King.

I wonder what bullet they choose for this order.

The load was developed to perform in the 8.5" carbines that they bought. It has a 90 gr Gold Dot bullet and a special blend of powder and flash suppressant that generates 2450 fps from the 8.5" barrel. I am shooting the load in a couple of bolt guns and I am seeing 2900 fps out of a 20" tube. The bullet is devastating on hogs and deer with good penetration, uniform expansion and excellent weight retention. I highly recommend it if you can find it...it is not a catalog item yet but you can find overruns on Gunbroker and at Palmetto State Armory from time to time.

LWRCI is selling a special SIX8 rifle package right now that includes a 500 rd case of the load.

You can also usually find it for around $1 a round. I might have some to spare if you need it.

Silver State Armory http://shop.ssarmory.com/ also makes a bunch of good 6.8mm SPC loads.
I also like their brass. I bought a 1,000 rounds of it for 6.8mm loading experiments.

I built up a 24 inch barreled AR on a Stag receiver with a Black Hole Barrel. It really smoked for velocity.
I have become bored with that cartridge now that I have experimented with it... Time to sell it and move on to something new.
