    Default who needs 22 amo

Midtown walmart has received a huge shipment of 22 ammo just to let people know. So go crazy. It was like a black Friday sale when I was there this morning .

This is at least the third thread on the subject here on AOD...."crazy" is an appropriate descriptor, I think. I'm not standing in line to buy .22LR, at any price. When the stuff returns to the shelves, and stay's on the shelves, I'll consider buying a box.

Not often that you and I agree, but I'm with you 100% on that! This time around I will let the forum members who have been crying about horders go stand in line to buy up a full limit. Then they can post on how they "scored some ammo for the kids"... oh wait, that has already happened. ?.

I won't be standing in line either. I have plenty of 22lr on my shelf and have had for quite a few years. I also have plenty of center fire primers, powder, lead, bullet molds and brass to keep me shooting until the store shelves are stocked again even if it takes 20 years. Why it took people this long to figure out that what they want might not be on the store shelf when they want it is beyond my thinking. The socialist countries have had shortages on many things for as long as I have been around and we are becoming more socialist every day. Many many folks have recently found out that 22 ammo may not be on the store shelf when they want it. So now millions of people that used to buy a couple of boxes of 22 when they wanted to shoot have decided it would be wise to keep a couple of cases on their own shelf and that right now is the time to stock up. In a capitalist economy, supply will catch up with demand if there is a profit to be made. Right now is either too late or too early to stock up unless you don't mind standing in line and even that is spotty. I feel sorry for those that didn't have there eyes open 20 years ago but my 22lr is not for sale even at $100 per brick. $500 per brick and even I could be bought. I figure anyone that has that kind of money to throw around deserves to be taken advantage of.

Well, as the old adage goes, seems as though you have determined his profession, now you are just bickering on the price! LOL

If I could get 500$ brick, I would have enough to buy a jet boat and a couple more 4 wheelers! If only I could!

Maybe, but I'm more likely to give it to the right person. I really don't know. If some one was dumb enough to actually offer $500 for a brick, I would have to consider who was offering and why. More than likely I would suggest they spend the $500 on loading and casting equipment so they didn't need to pay silly prices for 22 ammo.

Are you offering to sell a brick of 22LR for $500.00?

I wouldn't pay a dollar under $550. Too bad auctions are frowned on.

I'm not offering to sell anything as this is not the right place for that. If I had it for sale it would be in the ammo for sale section. But if you are offering $500 per brick, I'm sure some one will help you part with your money. I'm not offering to give it away either, but under the right terms I might but then again I might want $1000 per brick. A lot would depend on the attitude and need of the one wanting the ammo.

There ain't no flies on IO.

Even I, agree with him once in a while.

You have kids, and you don't want 22 ammo?

Ok. Here's what I'll do. You buy 1 brick for $500 and I'll give 4 bricks to kids that need em. And if that makes me a scalper, I guess I'm a scalper. That will serve three purposes. 1. It will take a bunch of money from someone that apparently has too much. 2. It will make four happy shooters and 3. It will fatten my wallet and put a grin on my face knowing I can help some kids using your money. This is a win win for everyone except the person paying $500 for a brick of 22. But, if your really intent on making me a scalper, here's your chance. Better be quick, I'm starting to think your attitude may push the price up.
