Default PWS shrimp opener, who is going?

Who is going to hit the opener this year? I am going to try but I have to fly back to the slope on the 17th.

We'll be anchored, for work, on the eastern side of the sound starting on the 8th, for a week or so. I'll post up weather reports, as time allows, if it'll help.

My one year old Electra-dyne has stood silent and motionless in the corner of the shop through all the dark days of winter. Can hardly wait it hear it growling up those first pots.

Hello! My friend and I will be heading out on April 14th to go over the boat and gear. We'll be dropping pots on the morning of the 15th if the weather allows for us. We both have two weeks of free time so we will be bouncing around looking for the tasty critters. PM me if you are going out at the same time and maybe we can get in touch, or have some brews on a beach somewhere.

Remember the commercial guys can't drop until 8:00 am. So you can drop before them.

The commercial fleet will be allowed to fish in Port Wells, Nellie Juan, Kings Bay, and out around towards Main Bay in addition to a few other areas.

Look at the northern gulf. Its marked no commercial. And the legend show it to be a commissioners permit area? Never heard of that. Anyone?

Like the big game permits. They will auction it off and you can shrimp there year round.

I started at 10 a.m. and worked till 6 p.m. breaking snow apart and snow blowing it out of the yard. Today, 2 hours and the F-250 dragged the Sea Sport up into the yard. With any luck, I will make the opener.
