    Default Hunting in nikiski area

Possibly moving there for work and wondered about hunting in the area. Any Info would be great

Not good. That's an oversimplification, of course, as there is hunting to be done. There is excellent black bear hunting on the Kenai Peninsula and some decent small game and predator hunting if you're willing to put in the work to find areas off the beaten path. The moose hunting is in a tough spot right now, though.

Nikiski doesn't have much for accessible public land, at least that's easy to find. I know people that live out that way who's property gives them good access, but it's tough otherwise.

The rest of the story is pretty much as Brian has told it.

I did get on some private land once that had a reducible us amount of coyote sign but I have never had a chance to get back in there.
