Default Bou hunting in Chicken. Unit 20E

Has anyone done the caribou hunt in Chicken off the Taylor highway? Have a few questions...where do most people park and ride in at? Or are they usually right by the road?

You can't miss it, there will be an army of vehicles parked on the side of the road.

Most people drive the highway until they see a bou and they pop out and take it. There are people who hunt by atv off the highway but there are limited areas where the trails go from the highway and most of these places are clogged with people, so if you don't mind a large crowd with limited success and lots of competition then I would say try it out.

Also, it all depends on where the herd is at, some years the herd is closer to circle and central along the steese and there are many places to take a wheeler out of up that way, but some years the bou are by the taylor highway and like I said, there are limited numbers of places to go head out on atv and its clogged up usually.
