Default First Lake Trout in Alaska

I could not get down for the Homer Derby, disappointed I was. My buddy took 2nd Place.

I did however get out on the ice a buddy in the neighborhood. He had never caught a lake trout and thought it was time for him to experience the thrill of a deep water cheetah.

He made short work of it, caught a nice laker in only about 30 minutes after set up.

We had a great day marking a few more and I managed to double us up.

    Good Times!

My first 2years fishing for Lakers was without flasher. so just look down hole and see were ur lure is at and open bale let line drop for 2 sec and presto you should be at 65 ft
good starting point early mornings after noon come up. caught plenty with out flasher. hell this time of year i hardly use it unless i am way down searching for bigger guys
