Default Proposed Bill to give F&G Management of most of Unit 13 & Nelchina Herd to AHTNA Corp

ALL HUNTERS SHOULD TAKE CLOSE NOTICE OF THIS PROPOSED BILL IN THE U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

THIS BILL DELEGATES FISH AND GAME MANAGEMENT IN MUCH OF UNIT 13, AND FOR THE NELCHINA CARIBOU HERD TO THE AHTNA NATIVE CORPORATION

Here is a link to the draft bill:

No need to shout. We've been discussing this for a while now here: http://forums.outdoorsdirectory.com/...onal-Territory Not an actual bill at this point, just a request from AHTNA to Don Young that he has not moved on as of yet.

I missed the earlier thread until after I posted. It looks like more than just a request from AHTNA to me. Here is a link to a March 14 meeting notice:

If this became law, it looks to me like it would put the AHTNA group's interests well above those of the rest of Alaska residents in a huge area.

    Regards,
    Jim

Look closely at who drafted the legislation. I don't always agree with Don Young, but because of this I will not vote for him again. I called Don Youngs office to voice my opinion and was basically told that my opinion did not matter.

This piece of legislation is his gift to everyone on the way out the door.

All I needed to read was the title to know this was a bad idea. In this case, you CAN judge a book by its cover.

Hard to believe he is still alive, what with his medical history. I sure hope he resigns so Parnell can appoint a Republican, or even better himself.

Congressman Young was married to an Alaska native for 46 years before she passed, she was a Doyon share holder as well. Conflict of interest? Hahahaha... that never happens!

Net, Net, Net he has been an outstanding value to Alaska. And Alaska has much to be thankful of from his service.
