    Default Primer Shelve Life

I am getting back into reloading and have some CCI primers that are 20 years + old.
Been stored in cool dry spot. Any one know how long primers last sitting on the shelve?
    Thanks.

I don't know what the actual shelf life is, but I've used 1000s of primers that are 30+ years old with zero misfires.

I'm still using some bought in the mid 60's, no problems at all other than replacement cost.

Like Smitty said, a lot like wheat. If stored badly (hot/cold or wet/dry cycles bad) they can get chrumbely and not light off very well. Stored well they live on and on. I'd prime a handful of cases and see ifin they make the required pop sound.
