    Default Deshka

Fished the deshka from the mouth up to the weir today on a charter. One fish between four of us. Water is really low and very few fish in river. Not worth fishing until the water level rises.

I was up there yesterday (thursday) fishing by mike & merts. Hooked 3, landed 2. No one else in my boat had anything on, only saw a few other boats hook anything. Definately slow right now.

    Default Slow Deshka

So slow/no fish, but you caught something and you weren't at work. There's an old saying in there somewhere....

What did you catch your two on? In the past I've caught all on #6 orange vibrex. Thinking about trying Sunday early morning. Good luck to all this weekend and tight lines.

Gotta be in the water to catch fish and you never know when they will hit in good numbers (on any of the local rivers). Go get'em!!!

best year i have ever seen there was when the water was about 15' from the steps, at the camping area off the point.
but it sure was crowded with that much less river to fish..

sure got my fingers crossed that we start seeing good numbers SOON!!!!

I was there yesterday and the fishing was very, very slow. I'm planning on taking the wife out tomorrow so hope things pick up a little.

We cought two yesterday morning using wiggle warts. My dad is up from Texas and cought the first, which was his first King. It was in the 25lb range. Im going to take him to Willow at the end of the month and show him what Combat fishing looks like.

According to Tom with the FWP of the Troopers, it was great fishing there!

I saw him unload two big trash bags full of kings he has confiscated from folks he was giving tickets to. He must have had about 200lb or more of fish!

I think he may have been nabbing the folks who were keeping too many fish. 2 big bags of Kings, what a waste of some good eating there.
