Default A few recent ptarmigan outing pics

Well, I have had more fun than luck so far this year. There is still time to change that though, right!? Three weeks more! Mostly scenic, but it doesn't get much better than Alaska scenic...

Thanks for sharing the pics. I've been taking it easy lately, my lab got a little frostbite on his feet and balls so I'm trying to give him a little more time to heal.

Hey, I recognize those Brittany miscreants! Glad you guys are out having fun. My dogs, including my newest pup, will go into high gear now until April 30th. Been a tough year for grouse and ptarmigan. I hope this spring is much kinder to them.

Great pictures Burke! Are you planning another trip up this year?

Great job Burke! Nice looking dogs and birds.

I also go out last week for a little spring-time ptarmigan action with my bow and dog, Deke. It was a wonderful weekend with sunny skies, "comfortably" cold temps, and a light breeze.

But all conservation of wildness is self-defeating, for to cherish we must see and touch, and when enough have seen and touched, there is no wilderness left to cherish.
