Default Your favorite kind of crab?

What is your favorite type of crab to eat/fish for? I really enjoy the hunt for king crab, as it usually takes a lot of work to find them and they are delicious. Tanner crab are great too and you get a good chunk of meat out of each leg. Dungeness seem to be richer in flavor than tanner, but the meat is smaller generally. I have also eaten Puget Sound King crab and they are great also. I like them all! Thought it would be fun to see how everyone else stacks up!

Sure I could have posted it in the shellfish sub forum, but then it wouldn't get any views.

I voted for all crab. Though king is my favorite for flavor and texture followed by tanner crab.
My all time favorite is whatever crab I am allowed to catch and eat myself fresh from the ocean.

Gotta go for all. I love king crab for their richness and size (availability and depth are detractors) Dungies are awesome for their shallow behavior and high densities....and big knuckles full of meat. Tanners are the sweetest of the three IMO and those big ol legs and their consistency make for an excellent texture and taste.

    Crabcakes tonight I guess.....drool.
