Sako Grey Wolf Rifle- any thoughts/experience?
Hey guys- thinking about treating myself to a rifle and the Grey Wolf caught my eye on line, but have not seen/handled one. I was wondering if any of you have experience with it and your thoughts.
Thanks for your time.
I bought one in 375hh. Its a good rifle. I got it for a good price and I am going to put a 2.5 power Leupold compact on it.
That sounds like a nice set up.
Thanks for your comments.
I had one of the Grey Wolf Model 75s in .300 WSM. Out of the box that rifle was one of the most accurate that I have ever owned. Mounted with a Leupold 3-9x it shot sub MOA groups out to 300 yrds (as far as I shot it). They are heavy with that laminated stock though. I ended up selling mine and buying a Sendero in .300 WM which I am currently thinking of rebarreling with a carbon fiber wrapped barrel from Proof Research in Montana.
Thank you for the report. I want a light rifle like the Forbes as well as a great looking rifle like the Greywolf. Now to figure out calibers...
