    WoW what a ride, how many dogs were in that team, 8 or 10? I could not count them properly. The more I look into mushing, the more I am amazed at the power a team of dogs can produce. Two loaded sleds laying on there side, and the dogs are still pulling strong.

    Believe the sled "skids" (I guess that is what they are called) would not last long on the open ground. It would also skuff them making them slower. Is that something that is easily changed and in the course of a distance race, changed at stage intervals?
