    Default Eureka snow report????

Wondering if anybody has been to eureka lately. Was planning a trip in the next few days and don't know if I should take the sleds or side by side

Rode up there Saturday (3/1). Definitely sled rather than SxS. We rode from the Roadhouse south to the Nelchina Glacier. Several feet of snow cover, the top 1-2 feet was still powder (remember powder, that stuff which used to cover our yards and roofs before it all turned to ice?). The access trail through the woods was moguled up and could have used a groomer. We didn't ride the trails to the north of the highway, but apparently they are in great shape as well.

Still lots of snow left up there. Been plenty cold. Still powder to be found both north and south of the road. But you have to get up high, and then down into valleys for the good stuff. But it can be found.

Thanks ultra. We just went Saturday the 5th. Beautiful day and was surprised to only find a few folks taking advantage. For what we wanted to do we only had to go as far as monument to find decent snow.
