    Is it on your land?
    Did you put it there?
Do you have a trappers license?
Did it die naturally and you simply trapped on it?
    How remote is it?

    These are more questions.

    National Forest land
    NO
I have a free license for everything for those over 60 y/o
No it appears to be a Black Angus head judging from the ears; However it is possible that it is a Black Bear head.
    Just off the Hope Road.
It was put there the end of November

Why not just leave it in the field

Will I notice that when there is a moose kill on or near a trail they close the trail. Children and adults & Joggers use the Hope Road as pedestrians. It just strikes my wondering why bear bait stations should be 1/4 off the road.....???

it will be gone by spring most likely, if not just let it decompose naturally, no harm no foul. Hope road is not a public trail, just carry a little mace in the woods with you and you'll do just fine

I was NOT concerned for my safety. And a can of mace would be the last thing I would carry.

If it actually really concerns you then I would assume you have already moved it and the problem is solved.

That thing must be pretty weird looking if you can't tell if it's a cow or a bear? Does anybody in Hope raise cows? I only ask because awhile back in No. Kenai a big bull got loose and the residents were all out trying to find it. The owner told everybody that whoever found it was allowed to shoot it. So that is what happened. They pretty much had to butcher it up right there off the side of the road. Could this have possibly happened?

    Never said you are .fool!

If I thought someone was breaking a trapping regulation and I did not know I would ask. That does not mean the person is anti-trapping.

So what is your reason for asking the question?

Is it OK to leave a COWS head after you pull your traps.....???
