    Default DPE

Do I have a choice? Any recommendations for DPE's?
I would like to figure out who will be administering my test and ask questions.

For the practical are you allowed to use an iPad? I'm currently using foreflight and plan on using it after as well. It has all the reference materials that I need and unlimited charts/updates.. Is this allowed?

I like to use Dean Eichholz for my clients. He is located in the Soldotna area. ( Lives at Scooter Air Park )
He has reasonable prices and he doe snot make up bizarre questions or rules, He follows the regs and PTS.
He was either the DPE or the US instructor of the year last year.

Some of the photos on this video were taken by yours truly. He is now retired from Falcon Insurance

Tell him Alex said to call.

Heidi Reuss in Anchorage. I learned a great deal from her on my checkride!

I have heard great things about both dean and Heidi. I doubt you can go wrong with either

That is an interesting comment. As I feel that I "REALLY" learned to fly on my check ride with Michael Olsolnick (sp ?).

Keep in mind that whomever you choose they are obligated to follow the PTS to minimum standards. That said, every applicant for a certificate, rating or review should be trained to a higher standard. Word of mouth is the best advertising and the examiners recommended here will fit the bill. You have the right to shop around and talk to them before you make your decision.
