I fished the Deshka yesterday, Wed May 30th and got skunked. I did catch two suckers though!

I just got back. Didn't see a fish roll, fin, jump, let alone caught. Went to the weir. The pool just below was dead. Usually with low water they hang up there waiting for water but today, nothin. Sat at the mouth for a few hours...didn't see a fish. At the landing a guy said he and his wife got two in two days...about 15 hours per fish.

    Default deshka Yesterday

Our group caught one and seen half a dozen roll from the first deep hole above the mouth to the weir. Real slow and low water. The fish seem real spooky.

    WOW! Talk about S-L-O-W...

Perhaps the EO to liberalize the fishery was a bit premature?

All the king returns in Cook Inlet seem to be a bit sluggish so far.
