    Default Lynx questions

    Gents,
I have seen a lynx only 4 times and only cut their tracks a few times more. Yesterday I saw two lynx in Anchorage and of course, I didn't have a camera. One was bigger than the other and I'm wondering if I was seeing a mother with kitten or possibly a mated pair.

    I have a few questions:

When is the lynx mating season?
Are adult males & females about the same size?
How big is an adult track?

I'm heading back tomorrow with a camera and a long lens. Maybe I'll get lucky. If I do I'll post pics.

    Thanks
If cave men had been trophy hunters the Wooly Mammoth would be alive today

The tracks I've been around have been about 3-4 inches across. Don't know about the sizes.

Mating season for Lynx is in full swing by mid April. They are really moving around at that time and often durring the day. Here's a med sized track..
