Unit 22 caribou if you have the resources. First week of March might be a bit early... we usually head out end of March/first week of April.

Check in with Alpine Creek lodge on the Denali highway. I believe that you can get in some hunting but might be able to see about trapping. Beside the snow machine riding should b good.

Yep, that would be a great time. There will still be ptarmigan and fox hunting to be had, but lynx will close on the 28th. Also an outside chance at coyote or wolf. I'm heading up there next weekend for a couple days of calling.

The snow is perfect for snow machine hunting now. You can go anywhere. Still great snow cover, but it's got a good enough crust to ride anywhere. Rivers and lakes seem to have froze back up perfectly. Ptarmigan hunting is excellent also! We've been out a few times recently. Planning on doing a lot more. Lot's of birds. Good luck!

Thanks guys as always you are a wealth of knowledge. I probably will stick with calling and hunting down by Denali then. I would love to get a goat but don't think I could swing the airfare
