Default Set line on the Big Su

Might be heading up to Talkeetna this weekend, wondering if it would be worth a shot to stop a few places on the Su and put out a few set lines for Burbot? Never caught one before or even set line before. Target creek mouths? Any input is greatly appreciated!!

Mouth of rabideaux slough has been productive in summer. But probly to low of water. My suspicion is that they winter near the confluences of the bigger streams such as maybe the mouth of kashwitna, yentna, deshka, maybe the talkeetna but I really don't know for a fact.

I have seen sets at the mouth of deshka, no clue if they catch any though....
Good luck, wouldn't hurt to try making a few sets?!

This time of year the burbot are on their spawning migration. A lot of burbot spawn in and around the Deshka. There are also numerous other sites to target these fish during their spawning migration. Below is one of a few telemetry reports that I've come across. Specifically, look at chapter 4.2 this should aid you in your search.

Thanks everyone one for the advice! Got some research to do and see what happens this weekend!
