Default Skilak lake..... Looking for a report

Has anyone been by skilak? Due to all this warm weather I'm thinking about a little rafting trip...

I am just guessing skilak, like kenai lake on my side is totally ice free for the most part?

Any info would be great, thanks guys!

Dont know which Skilak lake Tobias is talking about but the road is half dry and no ice on lake at all. I know a few guys who were drifting from the outlet to bings this weekend

Not sure what you are talking about Geoff156. Your friends must have had to drag their boat across the frozen lake. Also that road is treacherous right now. Travel down that road and you might end up in the ditch.

Hmmm.. maybe im seeing somthing different but this sure looks like open water to me, unless its frozen solid in the last 4 days.

There's only one Skilak Lake in Alaska that I know of. Kinda doubtful it would have frozen over, with the warm weather we've been having.

Saw about 4 boats on the lake, this drift boat was the last one to come in. Great day to be on the water I bet.

If anyone that may or may not be fishing below a lake that may or may not be frozen found a gold wedding band with some native american art engraved in it and would like to return it to it owner please let me know. Thanks.
