Very very few down on the peninsula.

Life is too short to pass up a day of hunting

I have not gone out in pursuit of them, but so far, on all of my walks I have seen ZERO tracks, infact, evidence of small game in general has been very scarce.

I've been doing okay. They are definitely down in the places where they were very high a few years ago. But the places that were really low a few years ago are starting to pick back up. I've been able to get enough to feed my family when I go. In a few more years they should really start picking back up again.

Sparse don't sound like the best day trip with four little kids....was thinking of making the drive to sheep mtn area but might rethink that now.

Don't know anything about that area, but down here on the peninsula I've been running a half mile with a few ermine traps and I have seen a total of one set of hare tracks in the last 3 weeks, no good.

Just saw my first set of tracks today behind my house. Things have really gotten slow here in the homer area.

Yeah, Sheep Mtn area crashed HARD a couple years ago. Right before the crash, it was crazy, you'd go out and see a hare every 10 minutes or better. Hunting got better and better and better, and then all at once, nothing. Gotta give it a few years and it'll come back up...

Haven't seen much at all. Went out yesterday and saw 1 but my buddy couldn't get a clean shot on it. Found tracks in a few areas after about 1.5 hours of searching just no bunnies around em.

I've seen tracks but only in a few places. Still haven't seen a hare. Thinking about hunting a yeti. Might have better luck.
