    Default Swift River?

Any experience on the Swift River?

Looking for something that can be accessed from Anchorage. This looks to be lesser traveled river.... Any information on the salmon run?

Been to the Swift River many times, but never fished it. Used to be very good for moose, caribou, and bears, though. Used to be lots of wolves, too.

Yes it is a lesser traveled river. The main stem of the river is usually silty during the summer and likely wouldn't be very good for fishing. There are a couple of clear water tribs that may hold some potential. Haven't been on the river myself (except for at the mouth), but have flown over it quite a few times. If good salmon fishing is your number one goal, I think I'd be looking elsewhere.
