    Default Recommendations for early/mid May

Iíll be back home for about threeweeks in May. Making plans to drag thefamily and toy hauler out for a week or so of camping and fishing. I was thinking about going to Homer and do somecharter fishing for halibut.
But, I wanted to ask you guys forany other ideas, recommendations or options around the state doable that timeof year. I donít plan on bringing thewheelers, but depending on location, maybe our canoe and kayaks. Ice-out will probably be sketchy for mostareas Ė I was thinking Tangle Lakes would be fun for greys and Lakers if itísopen??
So any open water fishing/campingideas would be much appreciated!

Depends on the weather of course, but that sounds early for Alaska Range lakes. I usually drive down past Summit and Paxson lakes in early June, they will just be opening up around the edges then. Might have better luck down South Central or Kenai way that early....
