    Default Stoney River?

Anyone ever floated or fished the upper Stoney River?

I've floated it twice. Started out of a small lake (just north of Tired Pup Creek). Nice place to stay a day or so, good pike fishing in the lake. Not a far trip to the river from the lake. Had to cut a few sweepers out to get to the main creek, not really a problem, used my Wyoming saw. Not much in he way of white water but like all rivers be aware of quick sand. Had a wonderful time and would go back again. Jim

Thanks for the post... what size boat did you have? How was the fishing in the river?

We rented a 12 foot inflatable from our outfitter. Went with paddles instead of a rowing frame. No real problems. Jim
