Grrrrrrr....I stop in there a couple times a week looking for Tac and they were closed when I got there last night at 8 pm. Figures, it will be long gone by the time I get back to town. Oh well maybe in another 6 months...

Thanks for the heads-up rbuck351! I stopped in today and got two pounds of TAC. I've been stopping two or three days every week for a long time looking for this stuff. Now they are out of it but did have quite a bit of IMR 4227. Sure would like to start seeing 8 pound jugs showing up again. Matt, they didn't have Varget but I see it at SW in Wasilla every now and then.

I went shortly after I posted earlier and got the last lb. of Varget. I'm happy as I was down to none previously.

Sportsman's Warehouse in ANC had some powder, nothing I wanted, but they did have a small assortment of primers (except small pistol, which would have been nice).

Am in Omaha at present and Guns Unlimited is fully stocked with all powders in 1lb, and 8lb, in big qty. Also lots of primers from all mfg for all aplications. 22lr was limited but avalible. Cabelas and Bass Pro also had stock on powder and primers. With some luck, the Alaska horders, profitiers, gougers and panic pansies will refocus on Christmas gifts and let the local stocks catch up a bit...

Yeah, I'm thinking the dry spell is getting to an end unless our president drops another bomb.

It was more than an Acorn, and he was clearly responsible.

If you have to ask, you'll never know.

Sounds like it was just a stupid statement and you don't know either. Unless you meant that our president is chicken little and is running around saying It's the guns. It's the gun's. It's the guns that are killing our children. We need to remove the guns from the people. Which IS what him and his progressive buddies have in fact been saying. The hoarders and such are just responding to his attempts to remove their guns and ammo. Nothing chicken little about them as they are responding to an actual threat.

    An Excellent Point, rbuck:

The Chicken Little syndrome would NOT APPLY to an "actual threat". And the threat is REAL.

There are those, who would deny reality and try to live in a dream world of their own making.

There are also those who try to counter the opposition to an agenda they support.

Perhaps it's not that deep though. As you pointed out, the statement sounds stupid, and,,,,,
