    Default AK Peninsula Brown Bear

Some of you may have seen my picture of the AK Peninsula Brown Bear that I shot this fall with my bow. I said I would post a video. So here it is. I didn't get a chance to really edit it yet, but I think it still is a fun video.

Nice, why did you not shoot the Big Boy?

    Thanks for sharing.

    Stid,

I think it would have been better titled "The bear we had to watch and let go". I had already shot mine, and my dad had shot a Kodiak 3 years ago, so we had to watch as that big bear walked 37 yards in front of us with no clue we were there.

Any guesses how big that guy was?

I can't imagine the adrenaline rush as you dropped the string. Can't wait to give it a go in a few years.

I would guess him at about the 9 ft class. I know how that no tag stuff is, I watched the biggest Brown Bear I have ever saw stand and rub his back on a tree at 100 yards. It was ONE day after the season closed. Congrats on a GREAT bow trophy and he will be reason to keep that fire burning to head back when you can for another go.

"paulfair"....Did you see the first bear in the video before you shot the sow? Or maybe that was same day fly in?
