Ya I'd enjoy some current fall Kodiak stories and pics. That's on my permit application for 2014.

Same here, been waiting, all I've heard is that the area I hunted last year was real tough this year with not many bears seen.

Just a bump in case it was missed first time around.

    Roland,

Can't give you a report for the fall hunt but you can bet I will have one on here in about 6 months. Got the Kodiak tag again for spring 2014.

Camp I went to had two out of state hunters this fall..

The girl took a nice 9 footer, tried to use a crossbow and had a weapon/ammunition "malfunction" so harvested with rifle.

The fellow wounded a good boar with a 375, was lost due to rain storm that washed out trail...

we seen bears fishing (nov 7 to 13) while we were deer hunting

the berry bushes were stripped clean. lots of good suumer/fall sign by the pink salmon streams and berry patches. I stayed away from where the silvers (salmon) were going in

seen sows with two cubs on multiple ocasions and even two sets of triplets

I would have say... the south end of Kodiak is looking good for Brown Bear
if there was at least some snow-- I would be more confident.

Good report Chris. Glad the Bear population is holding up well thru proper management.
