    Question Coast Guard Property?

I will be in Kodiak in a week, are the Coast Guard properties legal to hunt with a pellet rifle? Every gate has a "No Firearms" sign on it. According to everything I have read, pellet guns are not firearms due to lack of propellant. Just looking for answer, thank you.

will be regulations or restrictions for hunting. First check the ADF&g regs then try to find any additions for the base. I can almost assure you that the contonement area and the family housing areas will be a no go for hunting. The air station has an active runway, I wouldn't want to test their alert process by toting anything that even looks like a firearm around their choppers and fixed wing aircraft! The Coastie bases there are small. Why not drive down the road a bit?
