Yugo SKS accuracy?
I bought a Yugo sks this past month and brought it home to rural ak. I liked it and its design, and finally shot it . I loved shooting it, but haven't tested its groups. I just bought the surplus stuff (7.62x39mm 123gr FMJ Golden Bear) and say it shot where I was aiming..
Does anyone know how to better the accuracy of a SKS Yugo 59/66 with the grenade break?
I plan on hunting with it eventually when I go out for caribou or buy some reindeer from the local heard, so I was hoping to get within 2-3 MOA within 100-200 yards.
Anything helps, never owned anything of this sort.
Cut about 1/8" off the end of the barrel and recrown it. Mine shot about 18" at 50yds until I recrowned it, then it went to about 3" at 100yds.
you might get some ideas in this forum
I recently picked up a russian and it is "accurate" out to about 120-130 yds
